Who Is Melchizedek?

He is mentioned in Genesis 14:18- 20 as priest of the most high Yahweh (the Father). He is also mentioned when Abram gave him a free will offering or tithe (10%) of the spoils.

Gen 14: v18. And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he [was] the priest of the most high Yahweh the Father.

V19. And he blessed him, and said, Blessed [be] Abram of the most high Yahweh the Father, possessor of heaven and earth:

V20. And blessed be the most high Yahweh the Father, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.

Ps. 110:4  Yahweh (the Father) has sworn and will not repent.  Thou art a priest forever of the order of Melchizedek.

Paul gives further insight in Hebrews 7:3 “Without father without mother [without  genealogy], without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life, but made like unto the son of Yahweh; abideth a priest continually.

Heb 7:15-16 “And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest, who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.”

The only two beings to live forever are the Father and his Son, who is carrying out the plan of the Father from the very beginning. All creation, including the angels, all humans, as well as the seen and unseen world has a beginning and an end. No one has ever seen the Father except the Son; therefore Melchisedek (the Son) was seen by Abram.

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego saw our Creator in the furnace.  Daniel, chapter 3:25, Nebuchadnezzar said        “Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of Yahweh”.

Messiah came in the flesh for one purpose: to take on the sin of the seen and unseen world and effectively canceling the day of coverings from that point forward.  Hebrews chapter 10: 5 reads “Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body thou has prepared me.” This greatest act of all time took on all sin, past present and future, and guarantees every bit of creation an endless life in in the new heavens and new earth.  At that time, the kingdom is turned over to the Father after everything is physically and spiritually cleansed.

The only two eternal beings until the new heavens and earth are the Father and the Son. Everything else is created and will have an end until the new heavens and new earth. It is a great plan.  Nothing has been left to chance and nothing is going to stop this plan from coming to fruition.  The Son is the Alpha and Omega and will carry out the plan perfectly at the direction of the Father.
