“NEVER BETTER”

A beloved late brother Albert Smith had the above quote every day even when he was facing his own death. His daughter, a beloved sister, provided him tender loving care in his last days and this also put a twinkle in his eye and a smile on his face to go along with the above quote. What does the Bible say about attitude?

Smile in the day of trouble?

Jas 1: v2. brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations (trial, test, adversity, trouble);

1Pe 4: v12. Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

V13. But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of YahwehShua Messiah’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

Every day is going to have trouble?

Mat 6: v34. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day (every day) [is] the evil (trouble, trial, adversity) thereof.

Brother Albert was right. Every day has trouble and we're to smile in our day of trouble). What else does the Bible say about troubles and trials?

We are to call on his name, not a title.

Act 2: v21. And it shall come to pass, [that] whosoever shall call on the name YahwehShua shall be saved.

1Co 1: v2. Unto the Assembly of YahwehShua which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in YahwehShua Messiah , called [to be] Saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of YahwehShua Messiah, both theirs and ours:

Act 22: v16. And now why tarriest thou? Arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of YahwehShua Messiah.

Jas 5: v14. Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the Assembly; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of YahwehShua Messiah:

Nam 1: v7. Yahweh [is] good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

Psa 86: v7. In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.

V3. Be merciful unto me, O Yahweh: for I cry unto thee daily.

The Assembly is to help those who are having adversity, trouble, suffering, dying, or trials.

Pro 17: v17. A friend loveth at all times, and a brother (or sister) is born for adversity.

Pro 24: v10. [If] thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength [is] small (be strong, be fearless not faint).

V11. If thou forbear (refuse) to deliver [them that are] drawn unto death, and [those that are] ready to be slain;

V12. If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he (YahwehShua knows your mind) that pondereth the heart consider [it?] and he that keepeth thy soul, doth [not] he know [it?] and shall [not] he render to [every] man according to his works?

Job 5: v17. Behold, happy [is] the man whom Yahweh correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:

V18. For he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole.

V19. He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.

V20. In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword.

V21. Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh

V22. At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth.

V23. For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee.

V24. And thou shalt know that thy tabernacle [shall be] in peace; and thou shalt visit thy habitation, and shalt not sin .

V25. Thou shalt know also that thy seed [shall be] great, and thine offspring as the grass of the earth.

V26. Thou shalt come to [thy] grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in in his season.

V27. Lo this, we have searched it, so it [is;] hear it, and know thou [it] for thy good.

Psa 144: v15. Happy [is that] people, that is in such a case: [yea,] happy [is that] people, whose El [is]  Yahweh.

Pro 14: v21. He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy [is] he.

Rom 14: v22. Hast thou faith? Have [it] to thyself before YahwehShua. Happy [is] he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.

1Pe 4: v14. If ye be reproached for the name of YahwehShua Messiah, happy [are ye;] for the spirit of glory and of El resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

Jas 5: v11. Behold, we count them happy which endure (trials/tests). Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of Yahweh; that Yahweh is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

Does Yahweh have anger (not a fruit of the Holy Spirit, but is a fruit of the evil spirit) and test us?

Psa 78: v49. He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil (fallen) angels [among them.]

Psa 90: v7. For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.

V8. Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret [sins] in the light of thy countenance.

V9. For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale [that is told].

V10. The days of our years [are] threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength [they be] fourscore years, yet [is] their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away (pneuma /mind/spirit returns to the Father).

Ecc 7: v9. Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools.

Does Yahweh have a fruit of the evil spirit (anger from the adversary)? Is Yahweh a fool? Yahweh forbid!

Jas 1: v13. Let no man say when he is tempted (tested) I am tempted of Yahweh: for Yahweh cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

V14. But every man is tempted (tested), when he is drawn away of his own lust (sin), and enticed (by Satan).

So if Yahweh doesn’t test us, who will? None other than the Adversary, but he has to argue his case with our Creator and get his permission (see article: The Wrath of YahwehShua).

Job 1: v8. And our Creator said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that [there is] none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth El, and escheweth evil .

V9. Then Satan answered our Creator, and said, doth Job fear El for nought?

V10. Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? Thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

V11. But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.

V12. And our Creator said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath [is] in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Son.

In summary, when we act on the evil spirit put in our brain, the adversary argues his case to correct us. If we are blessed like Job (who was initially perfect in all his ways) he argues his case for persecution. In either case, late brother Albert had it right: (smile) “Never Better.”
